Spiritual Growth Leads to True Freedom: Becoming Like God

 

If a caterpillar destined to become a butterfly fails to grow, it will never be able to soar freely in the sky, and will instead lead a painful lie, crawling on the ground. 

Similarly, if humans, destined to become like God, do not grow spiritually, they will be condemned to an eternal life of suffering.

A beautiful butterfly that soars through the sky once lived as an ordinary caterpillar, crawling on leaves.  Over time, it undergoes a transformation—first becoming a cocoon, then emerging as a butterfly ready to take flight.

For a caterpillar, achieving its true purpose and happiness requires growth. Only when it matures into a butterfly can it soar freely through the sky.  But, if it fails to grow and remains a caterpillar, it will live an uncomfortable life, crawling on the ground and eating leaves—never fulfilling its full potential.

Similarly, we as humans are promised that if we grow spiritually to become more like God, we can reach Heaven and live an eternal, joyful life.  

However, if we neglect our spiritual growth, we will not reach Heaven and will instead live an unfulfilled and constrained life, much like a caterpillar condemned to crawl forever.

Only by developing our spiritual souls to reflect the nature of God can we experience true happiness and live life to the fullest—both in this world and the next, just as a butterfly freely flies in the sky.

My prayer is that each of you will nurture your spiritual soul to become more like God, embracing the endless blessings He has promised for you as a human being.
