Preparing Ourselves Spiritually to Receive God's Blessings
God desires to bless us abundantly.
However, if you haven’t yet received His abundance, it may be a sign that you're still in the process of becoming the right vessel to fully receive it.
In life, there are many things that are suitable for adults but not for children.
Take, for example, a knife. While an adult can safely use a knife with proper care and skill, giving one to a child could be dangerous. A child might unintentionally harm themselves or others, so we would never give a knife to a child without careful consideration.
In the same way, God waits for us to reach spiritual maturity before bestowing His blessings upon us.
Consider wealth, for instance. If someone is spiritually immature, receiving great wealth could lead to temptation or a shift in their trust—from trusting in God to trusting in money.
Though God promises to bless us with wealth and honor, these gifts are best given when we are ready to handle them without compromising our faith.
God’s blessings, like all good gifts, are given at the right time, when we are spiritually mature enough to receive them and use them wisely.
My prayer for you is that as you grow in your faith and obedience to God, you will be fully prepared to receive His abundant blessings.
